Honor A Nurse
If you’ve experienced the power of a great nurse, you won’t forget it. The wisdom, the skill and the dedication that nurses show every day, sets them apart as very special people. Donors have made contributions in honor and memory of specific nurses for their life-changing care.
Honor a Nurse 2018 Nurse of the Year: Corinne Schlom, RN
"Years of happiness reinventing myself.” That’s how Corinne Schlom, RN, sums up her nursing career - and how it has enriched her life. Schlom has been named the American Nurses Foundation’s Honor a Nurse 2018 Nurse of the Year, which recognizes extraordinary nurses while giving back to the profession. And, at age 92, recently retired from her part-time position at a rehabilitation center in Glenview, Illinois, Corinne Schlom has certainly earned that title! Read all about her in the April 2019 issue of American Nurse Today.
